Check-in and check-out
Check-in: From 15:00 hours. Check-out: Until 11:00 hours
We kindly ask you to provide us with information about your check-in time or flight number. Other check-in or check-out times may be negotiated with us through e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org (subject to availability).
The maximum number of extra beds per apartment is 2. We charge EUR 30 per night for an extra bed. No charge for cots/cribs.
Pets are not allowed.
The whole building is non-smoking. Those who smoke in the building will be fined EUR 500.
Please note that the staff at Opal Apartments is not in the building at all times. You can call us or text any time at tel. 00 354 860 1300 or write us a message on email@example.com.
The apartment will be clean when you arrive and include fresh linen, towels, toilet paper, toiletries, cleaning supplies, tea and coffee. If the apartment does not meet your standards when you arrive, please contact us immediately. Daily housekeeping is not included in the rental fee and guests are expected to do normal housekeeping, i.e. treat the premises in an appropriate manner, use the dishwasher, put their garbage into the garbage bin by the garage entrance and return the apartment tidy. Opal Apartments reserve the right to charge guests if extra cleaning is needed after check-out. Minimum cleaning fee is EUR 200.
New towels, toiletries, tea, coffee etc. are provided upon request.
Booking and Payments
To secure the booking you must complete the online booking process. The booking is confirmed when you receive the booking confirmation by e-mail. Bookings made through phone and e-mail are confirmed only when Opal Apartments have received a credit card number and sent you a booking confirmation by e-mail.
The person who completes the online booking form must be over 18 years of age, and at least one person staying in the apartment must be over 18 years old. Proof of identification and date of birth may be requested at check-in. Failure to produce this proof may result in your booking being cancelled.
Guests may be required to show a valid credit card and identification that matches the name on the credit card upon check-in.
Opal Apartments accept the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Discover, UnionPay debit card, UnionPay credit card.
The Opal Apartments reserves the right to pre-authorize credit cards prior to arrival. Guests who book standard rates will be charged for their stay up to 7 days before arrival, or latest at check-in. Non-refundable bookings may be charged any time between booking and check-in.
Although prices are quoted in EUR, please note that charges can be made in the local currency (ISK) according to the exchange rate (from www.kreditkort.is) on the day that the charge is made.
Cancellation policies may vary according to conditions provided on booking sites.
Responsibilities of guests
Guests should respect other people in the building. Guests have the responsibility to treat Opal Apartments with respect, and must take full responsibility for any damage that he/she or any member of his/her group causes. In case of a damage, the guest is responsible for paying for the damages.
Should a guest or accompanying persons cause great damage to the building, household items or disturb other guests or neighbours in an unacceptable manner, Opal Apartments reserve the right to annul the rental agreement immediately and without any warning. Should this situation arise, Opal Apartments have no obligation to repay any part of the rental price.
The number of people staying in the apartment may not exceed the maximum number stated in the booking and the confirmation from Opal Apartments. Visitors are allowed during daytime but are not allowed to stay overnight.
Responsibilities of Opal Apartments
Opal Apartments are responsible for managing the apartments in accordance with Icelandic laws and regulations at any time. Opal Apartments will safeguard your privacy, and personal information collected will only be used to tailor and improve the services to suit your needs. Opal Apartments will honor all agreements made with customers and strive to deliver quality services.
Opal Apartments do not accept liability for loss or damage caused by events beyond its powers (“force majeure”): such events include bad weather, flight problems, volcanic activity, flood, civil disturbance or industrial action (strikes).
